Schools must ensure that they properly carry out, record and evidence a raft of pre-appointment checks as part of the recruitment process. A key part of this is maintaining the Single Central Register (SCR) and ensuring that it meets regulatory requirements. The SCR is the most common source of inspection failure but misinterpretation and misconception about what is required is just as common.
VWV provides specific training on the SCR and the pre-appointment checking process which covers:
VWV Safer Recruitment Pack
The VWV Safer Recruitment Pack is a full suite of compliant model recruitment documentation, containing all of the documents you need for the safer recruitment process.
The Pack is available on-line through Academies OnStream and access can be purchased for a one-off fixed fee of just £250.00 (plus VAT). We update the documents in the Pack without further cost whenever there is change to the law, guidance or best practice that affects the recruitment process. This ensures that schools are always able to use up-to-date documentation without incurring further expense.
Schools who attend our SCR Training will receive a discount of 50% on the cost of the Pack, making the price just £150.00 (incl VAT).
Who Should Attend?
Our training will benefit all staff who have a responsibility for carrying out and recording pre-appointment checks and those who are involved in this aspect of the inspection process.
