VWV's Birmingham Private Client Team Achieves National Recognition

on Monday, 13 September 2021.

Our Private Client team has raised the bar once again with even more rankings in this year's High Net Worth Guide from independent directory Chambers & Partners and excellent news for the team in Birmingham.

The team advises on a variety of private client matters, ranging from estate administration and tax and succession planning to advising on Will disputes and family law.

The Chambers High Net Worth guide ranks leading lawyers and firms for international private wealth annually. The results this year see the firm rise from six rankings up to eight, with a new practice area ranking, and an increase in rank for one Partner.

The Birmingham team has achieved great success in the new guide with a fresh ranking at Band 2 for Private Wealth Law in the Birmingham area. In its commentary, Chambers describes the team as having "a great reputation in Birmingham", with sources adding that the team is "professional and competent, as well as helpful and friendly".

Partner Rachael Armstrong has increased her ranking to Band 2, with sources describing her as "outstanding", "extremely knowledgeable", and "nothing less than exceptional".

Finally, immigration law specialist Tom Brett Young has retained his Band 3 ranking in the guide, and is described as "a brilliant lawyer" who "can do the whole gamut of work".

Meanwhile, the team in Bristol has stayed strong, with Head of Department Michelle Rose (Band 1), Partner Fiona Lawrence (Band 2), and Senior Associate Shelley Faulkner (Associate to Watch) all retaining their rankings from the previous year.

This year's rankings reflect an incredible year of work from the Private Client team, and we look forward to the publication of the Chambers UK Guide in the coming months.
