The call for evidence is seeking to understand what parts of the UK regulatory framework works and do not work, taking into account issues such as whether the interests of individuals and businesses are appropriately balanced, whether the regulatory system is easy to understand and navigate, and whether there are any suggestions for reforming or modernizing the stock of regulation on the UK statute book.
The call for evidence welcomes views on any central government public body with a regulatory function operating domestically. However, financial services regulators and regulations are specifically excluded from the scope of the call.
The deadline for responses is 7 January 2024.
