An opportunity to consider the implications for people management and the HR function.

The conference features an exciting line up of plenary speakers, workshops, legal sessions, evening social activities and a fantastic gala dinner.

What to Expect?

Legal specialist Bettina Rigg will be leading a session on 'Building resilience in turbulent times - can competing institutional and employee objectives ever be reconciled?'. This session will focus on the practical and  legal issues that delegates will increasingly come across in practice. It will examine some of these issues in detail, giving the delegates the opportunity to work through common problem areas together and share experiences.

As well as, Partner, Jane Byford and Senior Associate, Joanne Oliver will be discussing 'The Changing Nature of Academic Contracts - Can Academics be all Things to all People?'. This session will look at the legal issues surrounding academic contracts, including teaching only contracts, the use of probationary periods, more focussed and metrics based performance managment, rewarding high performers, promotion critteria and the challenges raised by more flexible working arrangements.

We will be hosting a stand at this conference, where we would love the opportunity to meet you or answer any questions you might have about how we can help.
