VWV Further Develops Its Family Law Team

Carly joins from Tanners Solicitors in Cirencester. She offers legal advice to private clients based in the Cotswolds and the Midlands in relation to all aspects of family law including divorce, separation and cohabitation disputes, child arrangement orders, prenuptial agreements and domestic abuse.

Prior to this, Carly worked in Harrison Clark Shawcross' family team, where her passion for family law started, and qualified in 2011.

As a family mediator trained with Resolution, Carly also provides mediation services to help resolve family disputes and prevent the necessity of court.

She has a particular interest in the Private Children Act, which considers the effect of relationship breakdowns on children, including international relocation cases.

Carly commented on her appointment:

"I am looking forward to working alongside VWV's impressive Private Client team and to help further develop the department across the Midlands and beyond.

With a number of significant challenges in our sector - from the need for no-fault divorce to people trying to carry out their own divorces in an attempt to save costs - this is an exciting time to be joining VWV."

VWV's Private Client team is highly regarded, having last month been recognised as one of the best in its field by Chambers High Net Worth, whilst Partner Michelle Rose, who leads the team, has been shortlisted by The Law Society for its 'Woman Lawyer of the Year' Award.

The team also recently acted in a high profile international case involving complex children issues across the UK, Holland, Uganda and Eritrea.

In her spare time, Carly enjoys training and participating in triathlons. In addition to completing the iconic Blenheim Palace Triathlon, she ran the London Marathon and raised over £3,000 for a local Herefordshire charity.
