Nick advises on a wide range of high value commercial disputes and litigated cases. With a proven track record in dispute resolution, he conducts the pre issue stage in a cost effective manner.

Nick has a particular interest in the energy and utilities sector. He has successfully resolved technical issues arising from energy & utilities disputes, in particular under the Balancing and Settlement Code. He also has renewable energy project experience in the sector regarding the development of an MBT Waste Management Plant in Wiltshire and the installation of a Combined Heat and Power energy facility in a major London hospital.

Nick has advised energy suppliers on a number of mediations and arbitrations in the electricity sector and is familiar with the Electricity Arbitration Association's rules and procedure. He also has an interest in the aerospace and defence sector and is a member of the firm's Aerospace and Defence team in Bristol.

Nick is also a member of our Brexit Planning team and can provide you with specialist advice relating to commercial litigation and the aerospace and defence sector.

Nick has worked for various corporate, charity and public sector clients on a wide variety of issues. He currently works predominantly on litigious contractual, insolvency, debt recovery and regulatory matters.

Nick enjoys developing the factual and legal arguments in a case and he seeks to resolve matters by the most appropriate and cost effective method by either correspondence, alternative dispute resolution (e.g. mediation and arbitration) or issue of proceedings.
