Jennifer is a Senior Associate in the Birmingham based Private Client team and advises clients on the preparation of Wills, succession planning, inheritance tax, Capital Gains Tax, Business Property Relief, administration of estates including high-value taxable estates and complex estates with cross-border issues as well as advising on and drafting powers of attorney.
Jennifer is also experienced in registering both Enduring and Lasting Powers of Attorney with the Court, making Court of Protection applications for the appointment of a Deputy or more bespoke property and inheritance tax planning applications. She works with Attorneys and Deputies to help them administer the financial affairs of the Donor or Patient. Jennifer has also been personally appointed as an Attorney for her clients and actively manages their financial and property affairs for them.
In addition, Jennifer can assist you with the advice, preparation and administration of trusts.
Jennifer understands that when you seek her advice, you are often dealing with very personal and sensitive topics and so she recognises the importance of keeping you informed as the matter progresses. She enjoys the variety of working in this area of law and gives straightforward and pragmatic advice to all clients to suit their overall aims and objectives. Jennifer is a member of STEP (Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners). She was recently named as the person receiving the highest pass mark in the UK in a previous STEP exam.
Jennifer gives presentations and seminars on issues such as Wills, tax planning, Powers of Attorney and issues relating specifically to business owners.
Outside of work Jennifer is a keen 'bootcamper' and enjoys travelling as well as spending time with her friends and family.
