Before starting his training contract, William was a paralegal in our Contentious Trusts and Probate team assisting on a variety of matters including Inheritance, Trust and Will Disputes, and Court of Protection matters. Prior to this, William was a paralegal in our School Fee Recovery team.
Due to his previous work experiences, William has gained experience in the area of dispute resolution, and has experience attending court hearings, drafting pleadings and witness statements, and advising clients and negotiating settlement arrangements. William also has experience in ADR, having attended a number of mediations in Contentious Trusts and Probate matters.
"William was outstanding in co-ordinating the litigation process (…). Always courteous under pressure, he consistently made sure there were no gaps in the client/professional relationship."
"You have always shown understanding towards us and in particular you were a great help on the mediation day, staying calm and in control and at times clarifying points that we weren't sure of, which we are thankful for."
"I found William to be incredibly helpful, courteous and efficient and humorous when that also was appropriate. William was clear and open about what he was doing on my behalf, what was and what was not possible and always ready to advise or explain in matters of law or procedure. As an advocate he was tenacious and put the client’s needs first. He is a credit to the firm of VWV and enhanced their reputation by his work ethic. I would of course use his services again without question."
William studied History at Cardiff University before converting to law and studying the Legal Practice Course.
William is an active member of our Sports & Social Committee and CSR Committee.
Outside of work William is a keen sports fan and hockey player, who also enjoys running (in the milder months only!). William also enjoys cooking and travelling, and has a number of places he would like to visit on his ever expanding list (in particular Chile).
